"I wanted to compose a book that really made us look at how everyday language, expressions and situations are poetic. One can find poetry or the poetic, in everything ... if we pay attention.
I think it is also playful, you know, if I try to be serious or deep and meaningful, then for me, the work becomes contrived. However, if I start with 'playfulness', or leave myself open to it then, I think beauty and even the deep and meaningful, will present itself"
